I've just got an Archer AX50 router, which I upgraded to firmware version 1.0.8 right away.

While trying to set up Wifi security I noticed that the setting "Encryption" under "Wireless Settings" doesn't seem to work.

To verify my suspicion I tried out all nine combinations of "Version" vs. "Encryption" settings and checked the results by using the WiFiAnalyzer app on my Android phone and also with a tool called "WifiInfoView" on my PC.

So, changing the selection for "Version" actually changes Version and Encryption, while changing the selection for "Encryption" does not seem to do anything at all.

Why?
