Model: RE650
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

So I recently bought a RE650 extender, and had issues with 5ghz light staying on, but fixed it by changing the 5ghz channel from auto to 36. Every other device connected works fine, however the Oculus GO keeps connecting and disconnecting over and over for some reason. It apparently logs in fine, says connection established for a second, then disconnects. Any idea why this happens?

Also, for the love of me I swear I can't find where to change channels again like I did before, I thought trying different channels but I can't find it in the config web page any more. I get the menu as shown in the picture attached, I read that supposedly there should be an advanced options tab somewhere according to this https://www.tp-link.com/es/support/faq/1217/, but I don't have anything like that.

@Kevin_Z  Hi, I finally got it working by setting the Oculus GO to connect to TP LINK with a static IP pointing to the TP LINK extender IP. After doing it, connection is flawless now.

@Skyrimer Your extender is RE650, but not RE350, right?

Actually, after configuration, extender will working at the same channle as your router's, so it's channle 36. So the channle should be OK.

Please help confirm the following information:

1. Your Oculus GO can connect to your router wifi without any issues, right?

2. Would you please try to connect your Oculus GO to RE650 the other band, maybe 2.4G or 5G?

3. Please get Oculus GO close to RE650 to get better wifi signal to ensure the connection stability
