Is the Deco M9 Plus V2 EOL?
Ordered a single Deco M9 Plus V2 and just got a call from the supplier that they were not able to get their hands on one and suspected it was EOL.
I checked the page of tplink (https://www.tp-link.com/nl/home-networking/deco/deco-m9-plus/) and there there seems to be no longer a way to find the V2.
Can this be confirmed, or written of as a rumour/supply chain issue? Or am I plain confused?
I bought a three pack of V2s end of april, assuming the finished firmware would show up in some future. But killing the V2 before the customers who bought it got an actually grown up product, that one I did not see coming.
Thanks,
Marcus

Unfortunately it is most likely almost end of life. They have released a few new products and their team is too busy working on the software for new things than to go back to this older product and fix it. I'd return your deco's if you can and if you can't there are threads here that will help you get a beta with more features and stability. Your options are limited and this product is really promising, but I got rid of mine for something else that has better support.

@MapleLeaf This is bad info. TP-link has stated they will release updated firmware for M9+ V2 within a couple of weeks from now.

@cacb I don't agree, bad info is not getting a clear update timeline especially when there are about 10 threads over the last year with regards to one of their most expensive home products. They did recently post that it would come by the end of June, but kevin_z and brook said the same thing, but with a different timeline. So if it does come out then that will be the last update for this product. It has reached EOL.
I also decided to look online for resellers of the M9+, assuming you are in Canada. Staples, Bestbuy, Costco and Walmart have all gotten rid of it. Deco M5, M4, X20 etc... are all available except this specifc model. It looks like there are issues and TP-Link has decided to pull it back from shelves. Not trying to be rude or anything about it, I had this product as well.

Thanks for your insight on this. It is equally far from being bad info as it is from what I would have liked to get as info :-(
Two months after aquisition I can't return them, of course. Feel cheated, a bit. Or dumb, depending on the time of day.

The situation sucks. However, if they don't release the firmware update by the end of this month you can do it yourself with a beta and at least you'll get the features that are missing.
Check out this thread. It has a lot of valuable information.

Yeah I felt like that too, but nonetheless if it doesn't work properly then start an RMA process to get them replaced as many times as you have to, until they upgrade you to the newer series. Not sure where you got yours from, but do give it a shot to get your money back or sell it on a local buy and sell platform.

I would say: your prayers have been answered.
No longer a Beta-version, but (likely) the same one, now officially released a few days ago.
No update via the app (yet), but with the two ZIP-files (one being the upgrade tool) it can't miss.

@TP-Link please pin this topic on the first page. People are talking since 2020 about EOL of M9 Plus and you are still selling a product that don't have an update last year.

Hi,
What part of the world do you live ?
The last time I checked, the most recent Firmware update for the V2 was from 2 WEEKS (!) ago:
Deco M9 Plus(EU)_V2&V2.2_1.5.6_211018
Publicatiedatum: 2022-01-17
OK, developed/ programmed October 2021, and published 2 months later,
but hey, some stability-testing (and having it approved by management and published on the website) does make sense and does cost some time ;-))
Or are you referring to the V1 version, for which the last update was indeed February 2021 ?
