Model: Archer MR600
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 200511 Rel.44954n

With the MR600 4g+, the 4G+ light is not ON and I could see only one band (40) in the router console, I am in India and have tried with Airtel and Jio? also no improvement in the speed. Please suggest whats needs to be done.

@Satheskumar

Hello,

Please check the Network type of your SIM card.

Here is the Network type of MR600: https://www.tp-link.com/en/home-networking/3g-4g-router/archer-mr600/#specifications

Please insert the SIM card to your cell phone, then check if your cell phone can get the 4G+ speed?

You can try to move the router to another place, then check if you can get the 4G+ signal.

How much speed can you get from your Internet provider? And what speed can you get from the MR600?

May it help and have a nice day!

Update:

There has already been a beta firmware that could manually choose the network band.

https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202007/20200714/LTE_GATEWAYv3_1.11.0_0.9.1_up_boot(200325)_2020-06-12_15.48.55.zip

If your sim card carrier supported 2CA, you could go to basic>internet to fix two CA bands.

Thank you!

Re:MR600 4G+ model - Not working as expected(with dual band 4G+) (Carrier Aggregation not working)

@Satheskumar @TP-Link

I recently bought MR600 as i wanted high speed with 4g+. I am in India & using Airtel SIM card. When i use Airtel Sim card with my mobile (Redmi K20 Pro) i get 4G+ icon on my mobile and download speed reaches 70Mb. When I use the same sim card with MR600, it shows signal strength 100% but doesnt show 4G+. The download speed is about 20 Mbps.

I tried placing MR600 at various location in my house but couldnt get 4G+. Router is running with latest OS.

As per Airtel - 4G Advanced will combine 2300 MHz (TD LTE) and 1800 MHz (FD LTE) bandwidth capacities.

As per MR600 specification --

4G: FDD-LTE: B1/B3/B5/B7/B8/B20/B28 (2100/1800/850/2600/900/800/700 MHz)
TDD-LTE: B38/B40/B41 (2600/2300/2500 MHz)
3G: DC-HSPA+/HSPA/UMTS: B1/B5/B8 (2100/850/900 MHz)

As I can see both Band are supported on MR600 & available with Airtel, wondering why is it not working?? Do we have any workaround??

This is extreme disappointment as i already had 4G router but wanted to get high speed and bought new MR600 for high speed 4G+. But now stuck with low speed on 4G only. I couldnt find any option to manually select 4G+.

If the problem doesnt solve, i will be forced to return the device back.

@Satheskumar

Hi

Can you share snapshot from MR600 showing Band used for 4G+? You can find it under Advance --> Status.

Thanks in advance.
