Connections drops every 5-10mins and re-connects in 10 seconds or so.
Hi,
I just purhcased AC1200 and it's giving me problems since I set it up.
The connection remains stable only for a few mins. It then drops for a few seconds and reconnects.
Happens 2-3 times in an hour.
This is what is registered in ping if the connection drops

Hi,
May I know who is your ISP? Is this ping test performed when the computer is connected to the C1200 2.4GHz or 5GHz wireless or via a wired connection? Please connect a computer to the modem or ISP line directly to confirm if the connection is always stable first.
Besides, please follow the instruction below to do some tests and tell me which case you belong to.

@Kevin_Z Hi, I tried this while being connected to my WiFi.
I think it's 103.133.51.37
I also tried to conect the WiFi router not through the radio but with direct RJ45 Cable going into the AC1200 router at the 1 number port on the router. It was also breaking up then.
Not sure where the problem could be.
Kindly advise.
Thanks.

Try to connect your computer directly to the modem or internet line from your ISP and monitor.
BTW, is the internet LED on the C1200 always green or it changes to orange sometimes? Try to reset it to the factory defaults and reconfigure it from scratch to give it a go.
Good day.

@Kevin_Z No, it doesn't change to green. It all happens while being connected.
I'm not sure if this is a faulty router.
Can I get some remote assistance to resolve this? I've been struggling this since the day I bought. Want to ensure all my settings are correct to rule out any possibilities of the router being faulty. ISPs don't help much/know much. I'm on my own.

Hello,
Please try to change the WAN DNS settings on the C1200 first to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, then monitor the connection again.
Have you tested the connection by connecting one computer to the ISP line or modem directly? If not yet, you need to confirm that first and ensure the ISP line is stable, then we can go further.
Good day.
