Model: Archer C2300
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 200714

Hello, I cannot forward any port through the router. I did all the steps and the port is still closed. I am trying to forward ports for my Synology NAS. I also trier the automatic configuration from the Synology DSM and it also fails.... This should be simple, why doesn't it work!

Hello,

Please refer to the below troubleshooting guide to check some basic settings:
Why port forwarding feature is not working on my router?

If still no help, please provide the below details:

1. What is the WAN IP address of the C2300?

2. Use the WAN IP+port number on a LAN PC to test if the port is opened. If this access failed, it might be your ISP has restrictions on the port/service and you need to confirm with this. Additionally, we strongly suggest you turn off the firewall on the computer as some Windows computers' firewall blocks connection from WAN by default.

Good days.

@Kevin_Z Thanks, it looks like the ISP is providing a private ip - 192.168.150.xx. Is that correct? So I cannot open any ports.

Hi,

Yes, this 192.168.150.xx is a private IP address, you won't be able to access the local service by just opening ports on the router, you need to open those ports on your front-end modem if there is one.
