Archer T9UH V2 - Can't connect to 5Ghz network

I just bought the Archer T9UH V.2 last week. I had initially high hopes for this but have been unable to connect to the 5Ghz network. It keeps defaulting to the 2.4Ghz network which is very slow.
I am on Windows 10.0.18363 I understand this a common problem with this adapter? Can a kind soul please provide a video link or step-by-step guide.
Disappointing that this is not plug and play!
