Just bought a TL-WN723N and it seems to work ok but the problem I have is that the connection is too slow, currently I get a rate of 43 Mbps but before rebooting I had 14 Mbps despite having 95-100 % signal strength.

Using windows 7 and installed from the cd that came with the adapter, I figured it was a problem with drivers but Windows tell me they are the newest ones.
Peaking at 43 Mbps is not acceptable given that I have an external connection twice that that I would like to take advantage of.

Anyone got a solution?

EDIT: When I checked again it had dropped to 29 Mbps, obviously way too low.

How did you test the speed? Maybe you should try to test the speed with P2P website. And I suggest you to secure the wireless with WPA2-personal, AES.
