Hi,

 

Router negotiation speed is limited to 100Mbs even after I manually switched Internet negotiation speed to 1000Mbs in settings as shown below

 

Negotiation settings:

 

Ethernet status:

The cable connected to router is cat 5e that supports 1Gbs and it's tested:

 

 

I've tried to do a factory reset with setting negotiation speed as 1000Mbs before configuring the router but it ends up with the error "WAN cable is unplugged".

When I switch to "auto-negotiation" it successfully connects me to the internet but with 100Mbs negotiation speed (see pic 2), switching negotiation speed afterward doesn't change anything.

 

Is this a hardware issue?

The issue is sorted. A technical support person found the problem in cable snap, after changing it, the negotiated speed become 1000Mbps.

The issue is sorted. A technical support person found the problem in cable snap, after changing it, the negotiated speed become 1000Mbps.

It could be, sometimes the cable might be faulty but we cannot tell easily, that's why we suggest you try different cables.
