Hello

I purchased an Archer T3U about a week ago but I'm experiencing regular ping spikes while using it. I've installed the latest drivers but that doesn't seem to have helped.

I'm running a ping program in the background to check and it spikes to 2000ms+ every minute or so, which is very noticeable in any online games.

I'm using many wireless devices and none of those seem to be having any problems.

Another question, is there a way to force which band the adapter connects to?

Thanks

@Nick0792

Hello, thanks for reporting the issue to the community.

Are you using this T3U on a Windows 10 computer? What is the details version, 1909, or 2004? You may verify it as below:
https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2722/

Try to update the driver to be the following one:

https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202006/20200601/00015960-RTLWlanU_WindowsDriver_1030.38.0712.2019_Drv_3.00.0032.L.zip

How long have you had the adapter and when did the issue start? Are other devices in the network are getting a normal ping result when you ping 8.8.8.8?

What is the model number of your home router? Try to change different 5ghz wireless channels, such as 36/40/44/48.
