Firmware Version: 1.1.0 Build 20200416 rel.72485(5553)

Hi,

 

I when I try logging to Tether app on ios, I get following error: "Login failed: You may be connected to a guest network, limited by parental controls or your network may be unstable"

 

I have tried uninstalling app but same results.

 

I have enabled both 2.4 and 5.2 Ghz ranges, and on my phone I am connected to wifi using 2.4 Ghz range.

 

Please suggest what can be done.

 

Firmware version: 1.1.0 Build 20200416 rel.72485(5553)

Hardware version: Archer A9 v6.0

online upgrade (through tplinkwifi.net): 1.1.0 Build 20200416 rel.72485 

 

options tried: 

1. Restart

2. Factory reset

3. App reinstall

When this phone cannot access the router via the Tether app, is it connected to the 2.4G? Is the guest network enabled or disabled? If possible, try with another phone and see how it goes.

 

You may try to disable the 5G network, then reboot the router and launch the Tether app again on these phones, confirm again if you can access it.

Hi,

 

Yes I am connected to 2.4 Ghz and guest network is disabled, I have tried in another android phone and results are same.

 

I even tried disabling 5.2 Ghz and that doesnt work as well.

Even resetting the A9 to factory defaults doesn't help? If that is the case, this will be escalated to the engineers, they will try to help analyze it, please check your email box and confirm, thanks.
