Hi,

I have Archer C7 and RE305 as extender. I can add the RE305 as one mesh device. The issue is that after a day or two (still don't know the exect time), the RE305 diconnect from the mesh network and returns to be a repeater.

Any idea why it happens?

Thx

You can troubleshoot by moving RE305 closer to the router (if possible) and see if the issue persists. Another option is to look at the devices logs and see if any details regarding the issue.

@OferTP

Here's a guide for joining RE305 in OneMesh.

If you already set up the RE305 without joining in OneMesh use this guide.

The system is CRAP! It doesn't work. The mesh always disconnect. I shouldn't have bought the rE305. It is not working as expected. Better to find other solutions, not tp link.

@Ivaylo

Thanks,

Seems like the user guide is not up to date when you want to configure via webui.

I also upgraded firemware to latest.

Trying to see why perfromance is not high

@OferTP

This is my TP link version

But the problem I have is that the RE305 always disconnect from the OneMesh netwrok. I add it to the network, there is no issue, but after some time it disconnect. They probably have issue with the software.

This is after I add the device to the OneMesh, but it will disconnect from it after some time.

I don't think it relates to the distance and the logs are not showing anything. Seems like a bug in TpLink software.

@Eyalc

I have upgraded RE305 to newer version

It is a bit strange, that some devices appears with "mesh" keyword in the supported mesh products and some are not

https://www.tp-link.com/en/onemesh/product-list/.

Seems like 5G performance is not good.

According to this video data goes via either 2.4g or 5g , not both. so still looking for it

@OferTP

I've updated the links in my previous post for RE305 HW ver.4 (they were for HW v3, not sure if there's a difference).

Regarding connection disruption problems maybe @Kevin_Z can give some directions.
