MR6400 SMS Bug/Issue
Hi,
I recently purchased an TP-Link MR6400 to use as a 4G Router as an alternative to the dreadful speed problems in my area. I'm able to get better speeds on this device, but I have noticed an issue when viewing the status of my router.
I have 6 messages in my inbox, as indicated by the badge on the message
Nothing shows up in the message table, and I do need access to these messages from my carrier.
I've updated my firmware manually using the latest firmware (which was already installed) and this has not fixed the issue.
I've also noticed that there are other members on this community who are also having problems revolving around the SMS functionality.
Has anyone else had any luck finding a way to view their messages?
Thanks

Hi Kevin,
A Senior Engineer has gotten in touch with me, and sent an email with some beta firmware for the MR6400 which has solved my issue.
I can now view SMS messages via the router webpage.
It's a shame that customers have to use the community to get in contact with engineers to get beta firmware for basic functionality, but it is what it is.
Thanks for your support

Hi, thanks for reporting the issue to the community.
Can we confirm the below details, then we will try to offer a solution for this?
1. Are you able to send a message?
2. Try to reset the MR6400 to factory defaults, then check if you can read those messages.
3. Who is your SIM card carrier?

Hi,
I can send a message from the SMS settings in the Advanced settings tab, and it does come through to the other phone number.
I've tried resetting to factory defaults, and the same number of messages comes up, but I still cannot read them.
The carrier for the SIM is Three UK
Thanks

Thank you very much for getting back. What if you put this SIM card into your phone, will you be able to read the messages?

Sorry this takes long to resolve.
Are you running the same firmware as shadow65's? If yes, please try to install this beta firmware and see if it will resolve:
