Model: TL-WDR4300
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Hello,

Just got my new TL-WDR4300 router. Set it up last night with the latest firmware. I can connect to Internet using a wired cable. However, I can't connect to Internet via wifi. I already tried 2 laptops (Vista & Win XP) and 2 tablets - I can see my wifi signal, connect to it (with my password), even obtained IP address (from ipconfig). However, when I tried to open a web page (eg google), https://krogerfeedback.nl https://talktosonic.onl https://talktowendys.vip https://whataburgersurvey.onl it can't connect to Internet (always got timeout or service not found). Again, same laptop has no problem if I use a cable to connect to my router.

Any idea? Is there anything I should check?

thanks

jackyjoy

@jackyjoy123

Thank you for posting on the TP-Link Community.

May I know who is your ISP, what is the WAN connection type on the WDR4300? Please show me the status page on it when the internet works on the wired connection but not wireless. Ensure you have internet access if you plug the computer directly to the ISP modem, you may compare the IP address you can get on the computer with that obtained on the router WAN.

When the laptops/tablets connect to the wireless network, please verify if they can get a valid IP address from the router, such as 192.168.0.100/192.168.1.100, you can check it as this: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/838/.

If they can get a valid IP address from the router, try to do a ping test then: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/425/. Ping the gateway first, then ping www.google.com, show us the results.
