Hi,
I would like to use my A8 router as wired rooter and disable WIFI.
By pressing WIFI button for 5 sec wifi turns ott, but after a short time maybe an hour it is automatically turn back on.
How to keep it turned off permanently?

Have you tried to turn it off via web GUI or Tether app ?

i did it now via GUI, but only 30 min pass by. But why the button may not work?

Make sure you're with the latest FW for your device.
If that doesn't help then hard reset (Method 1) the device and re-configure it from scratch, then test again.

Just wandering, are you enabling the Wireless Schedule on the A8 router? Please verify this by login to its web management page. Or you may reset the A8 to factory defaults as per Ivaylo's suggestions.

I have updated to the lates FW (i missed it before...) and it seems that the router keeps the WIFI off. I wonder if it will work with the botton. I will report back.

The router suddenly turned Wifi on. Any idea why it can not be turned off. Same behaviour after reboot.

Have you looked at the Kevin's question about wireless schedule ? If you don't have that feature activated, then try hard reset (from my previous post). If you still can't turn off wi-fi permanently then this should be escalated to the local support.
