Try pairing the devices right next to eachother in the same room (short runs) before moving them, i have found that fixes it first.

OR

Install the TP PLC app and manually set the name on the powerline connection, it usually defaults to something like   TPHomeAV    change it to WHATEVER on each plug individually using the app and these should start talking, you will likely need to configure one at a time.  Cable in  >  open app  >  see plug  >  change powerline name  >   save and disconnect ... next plug repeat

Done that a few times to fix random issues, also a bit safer than the default one!

Thanks for your suggestion, but no joy after hours of trying your suggestions over the weekend.

Even with just one AV2000 and one AV1300 plugged into wall sockets next to each other, the "Powerline LED" on the AV2000 turns red immediately after the AV1300 is switched on and remains red whatever I do.

@runnymede Try adding the AV1200 ("1300" is a marketing ploy) adapter by entering its device ID code in tpPLC utility _before_ you plug it in.

The threshold for red or green on the PLC LED is about connection speed. Maybe the AV2000 adapters have a high threshold for "good" speed. Verify the resulting speed - after a while, not right in the beginning - and if it's good enough for you, just ignore the red light.

@cybernik I gave up and returned the AV1300 back to amazon and got a full refund.

I now have a netgear wifi6 mesh network which works great and gets full speed from my new 500 Mbit broadband.

My powerline maxes out at about 80 Mbit.

Probably will put the 4  tplink av2000 units on ebay.
