Model: Archer AX73
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.1 Build 20200907 rel.76867(4555)

Hi,

I just installed a brand new Archer AX73 (AX5400 Wi-Fi 6 Router) to replace a Netgear R7000.

It is running in AP mode, Smart Connect enabled.

So far I am fairly satisfied with speed and coverage, although not overwhelmed.

Still have a few devices to migrate, one of which is an HP Deskjet printer.

I know from experience it does not like the WiFi network to switch channels.

And there comes the question: where in the Archer AX73 can I fix WiFi channels?

Couldn't find it in the Tether app, nor in the web interface!

All help very much appreciated!

@Koen_VI

If you enable the “Smart Connect” feature, then the router will set channel numbers, channel widths, etc. on its own. It’s like this on other TP-Link routers as well.

Therefore, if you want to fix the channel to a number of your own choice, then you need to disable “Smart Connect”.
