I have a thomson radio metro router.

I have tp link powerline which work but i replaced today with a deco m4 mesh ac1200 - 3 devices.

All devices on app said online however i could not connect to a webpage via a browser. 

on a mobile devices i could ping an ip address 8.8.8.8 but got request timed out for www.google.com

i was receiving messages via whatsapp but could not send.

 

When i connected laptop via cable to router , all worked ok 

when i swtiched off the deco and reconnected the tplink powerline - all worked.

 

Any ideas ?

As an initial troubleshooting step, change Deco Operating Mode to Access Point. If all Internet connectivity problems disappear after that, it would mean the issue is somewhere in configuration settings for Deco running in its default, Router mode.

@Alexandre. 

Hey that worked. 

I started to get some access when in router mode this morning but it was unstable - i could get incoming emails but couldn't send etc

however once i switched to access point , all devices connected and worked.
