Model: Archer A6
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.1.8 Build 20210226 rel.34930(5553)

I have Archer A6 and RE200 and i am trying to use OneMesh Network. Currently unable to do it. RE200 is in Access Point Mode as connected via Ethernet. When i try to use Archer A6 Web Management with OneMesh Function it just gets failed, same goes for Tether App.

ISP Line -- Archer A6 -- TP Link Unmanaged 10/100 Mbps Switch -- RE200 Access Point Mode.

                         |______ Archer C1200 -- 1 Gbps Connection for USB Shared Server

I am also unable to use Archer AC1200 USB shared server via SMB Protocol . It seems i have read SMB on TP Link Routers are v1 and v2 which are not supported by Apple and even microsoft. Can you also update with me that also. If it will support SMB v2 i think Apple devices My Files app will also start working properly with the Shared drives.

Archer C1200 v3.0

@TandelK

What's the error message when you try to enable OneMesh on A6 via web interface ?

A user with the Archer A6 v2 and the same FW version claimed that it doesn't support OneMesh.

RE200 should be at least HW v4 to support OneMesh and set in repeater mode.

Follow the RE200 user guide to build the OneMesh.

In Windows it's still possible to use SMB v1.

Thanks @terziyski for your valued suggestions as always.

@TandelK Kindly check the following FAQ we published that the Onemesh router and the extender cannot support to build a mesh network via an Ethernet/wired connection.

@terziyski I dont want to use Windows SMB v1 as i can easily plug that External HDD to it and copy stuff, The main reason i am asking is because i wanted to use on my Samsung My Files app and iOS Files App which by default support SMB v2. The main reason i was looking to buy it was just because of USB Port which can make it easy for iOS Files App to use SMB Protocol to transfer Photos whenever the Phone gets full. I know this is cheaper way than to get NAS for myself.
