For your device to configure as a range extender you have to use WDS.
Follow this guide to setup WDS properly.
You can go to Advanced > Status > Wireless to check the WDS status.
When the WDS status is Run, it means WDS bridging is successfully built.

yeah, I already followed the guide twice even after resetting the router, the WDS status is Init... And it never changes, even the wireless channels are same but still not WDS status to Run , if you could help me with that I can try it again.
Router I tried is TL-WR90N and trying to connect Archer C6

If you have WDS mode option in WR940N try setting it to WDS1 and test again:
If the issue persists then try WDS2 mode and test again.
Make sure you're with the latest FW on C6 device.

Okay so WDS1 worked now the status is Run but there is not internet access on the old router
both have same Channel 11,proper MAC and SSID with password with both routers on latest FW
Let me know where should I try in the settings
EDIT: My Acher C6 is in Router mode and not in Access Point does that affect ?

It doesn't matter if the C6 is in router or AP mode as long as there is a router with active DHCP server in your network.
In your case that's C6 and it is in router mode so it should work as expected.
Try rebooting C6, wait for it to be ready and then restart WR940N. Test if WDS works properly.

I really don't know what's wrong with these settings. You're setting WR940N with LAN IP address in the same 192.168.0.0/24 network with its DHCP server disabled, right ?
In the WDS guide is stated:
"
"
Have you tried with WDS2 on WR 940N to see how it goes ?
The other thing you can try, just for the experiment, is to configure WR940N as the main router and configure WDS on C6 to see if that will work as expected.

@terziyski
I'm setting the LAN IP to 192.168.0.254
I have set it to WDS 2 now let me know what should i set the LAN IP?
will try last method if these don't work properly

Your LAN IP is fine, just change the WDS method to WDS2 and reboot to test.
If it still doesn't work try swapping devices like I suggested to see if the C6 can build the WDS.
Use these wireless security settings for both devices:

"If it still doesn't work try swapping devices like I suggested to see if the C6 can build the WDS."
I will have to reset it, so it won't work bcoz of MAC address also changes, so I have to call my ISP for that, will try next week when I get free time for it.
I changed the DHCP end IP in C6 till 192.x.x.254 instead of (192.x.x.245), and it was connecting
but was not stable so after changing it WDS 2 and the DHCP end IP back to 192.x.x.245 it won't even connect now.
What I'm thinking is does C6 have to have a range in which my old router should get connected?
