Model: TL-WR845N
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 0.9.1 3.17 v0001.0 Build 201214 Rel.67500n

Hello,

I am using a TP-Link Wireless N Router WR845N Model No. TL-WR845N.

My ISP: Unigro Infranet       My plan: 10mbps

I have a plan of 10mbps but my ISP is sharing internet traffic with Google, Whatsapp. Youtube and Facebook so I get a speed of 40 to 50 mbps.

Earlier when I uploading something on google drive it works perfectly I get a speed of 40 to 50 mbps but now it only provides 10mbps which is not good I ask my service provider they tell me that everything is okay from their end. They sent some technicians and they check all things with their router and laptop and no problem no cable damage nothing everything is okay. They tell me that it's your wi-fi problem, your wifi is not working properly when they reboot it or update the firmware it works for some time but after that, it again goes to the normal speed of 10mbps.

My downloading speed from google drive is good as it was and everything is working properly the only problem is with uploading on google drive.

Please help me.

@Ahmadkhan Can you try plugging your laptop with a cable to the router, to see if the speed will be the same? And if the speed is the same ,you can try plugging it into your laptop, to rule out the router as an issue.

Not sure what exactly you mean with "sharing traffic", perhaps you mean, you get extra bandwidth/data cap when using specific services?

@Ahmadkhan Did you try with the laptop plugged in directly with the cable, without using the router (the cable which goes into the WAN port of the router, to go into your laptop)? If yes, and you still get 10mbps, then its an issue with the ISP.

@Ahmadkhan
Okay, then that means the issue is indeed coming from the router.

Can you check if you have not enabled the QoS (Quality of Service) option? Or the bandwidth limitation?

I don't have original adapter and the box in which the router comes so my question is that, is replacement possible? My router has 3 years of warranty and its been 1.5 year from the date of purchased.

@Ahmadkhan

Okay, lets try backing up your configuration (System -> Backup & Restore), and then do a factory reset from the same menu.

Once the router resets to factory settings, try using checking the download speed again, while connected to the router.

As for warranty: you should check with the place from where you bought the router.

@Ahmadkhan Go to Network -> Internet, and try setting the Network Negotiation to 100Mbps. It could be the connection is auto negotiation link speed of 10 Mbps.
