I have a TL-WDR4900 and I also have the TL-WPA281KIT which is a powerline device with an Access Point built in.

I am trying to use the products together to extend my Wireless network around my house, but using Powerline/Ethernet to connect the Access Points together. I have read that this should be simple enough to do, but I am having huge connectivity issues on Wireless from the WPA281. If I connect an ethernet cable to the WPA281 Powerline adapter, everything is great. But when Wireless devices connect to the local AP on the WPA281 I get very intermittent connection. A simple ping to the router shows response times varying anything from 5ms, 5000ms and often timing out completely.

Any wireless device connected o the WDR4900 appears to be OK, but as soon as you roam near to the WPA281 wireless, connection problems.

I have tried everything I can think of to resolve this, but continue to get issues. Please can anyone help?!

You can install powerline scan on your Windows PC, press connect to log into webpage of TL-WPA281, and go to wireless/wireless settings to fix a channel to ensure a more stable connection.
