WR1043ND hangs up after some time using a usb drive
Region : Others
Model : TL-WR1043ND
Hardware Version : V1
Firmware Version : 3.13.12 Build 120405 Rel.33996n
ISP : ANTEL
I have a WR1043ND v1 00000000 router. The router is configured with dhcp server, wireless network (no wds), WAN with dynamic ip, and my bandwith is 2Mbps/512Kbps. While I used the router with this configuration I had no problems with it.
A few weeks ago I bought a 750 Mb (FAT32) external USB hard drive, connected it to the router and configured it for storage sharing (no ftp, no media server). After a few hours using it the router hanged up (while streaming from the disk or copying files to it) and since then I have been restarting it quite often (always while using the disk).
I have checked the disk and it is ok. I have tried another usb external drive (500Gb) and the router hanged up also.
Because of this I upgraded to the latest firmware (3.13.12 Build 120405 Rel.33996n) but I am still having the same problem. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
Many thanks,
Federico
