How to setup QOS?

I recently puchased this piece after my LinkSys died. I was expecting some basic functionality e.g. time based restrictions and easy to set QOS and load balancing but either I can't find them or I can't set them up.
We are using a desktop hooked up through Ethernet port, two laptops and a smart phone. Whenever any device is connected to WLAN, almost bandwidth seems to be allocated to those devices. It becomes impossible to browse at times. In this case I think I need to configure QOS which has no rules at present and is disabled. Problem is that I don't understand how to do that for this model. Can anyone please point me to a guide?
Also please tell me if I have latest firmware or should I need an update.
