MR3040 rebooting with E1752

Firmware Version : 3.14.4. Build 121017 Rel 62268n
ISP : CellC
I bought the MR3040 to use only with battery but now my if used with 3G stick E1752 it reboots. If I use a powered hub then it works.
I thought this devive was a mobile device, now it seems I need external power.
Please HELP !!!
