Hi, well, not to much help found regarding another post I made about how to set up an old WiFi extender which doesn't have a WPS button, anyhow, I would like to ask for help with a router SSID, I reinstalled the router and changed the SSID name but when I try to connect to the TP Link router the name I used doesn't appear in the wifi network but instead a  TP-LINK_566A04 name appears in the wifi networks. The same happens withe the TP Link extenders wich also appears with this kind of name, neither to say I have been unable to login to that network.

Regards,

@TEEHDRV

Hi,

Have you verified the new SSID you entered was indeed saved? (i.e. does the configuration page still show the new SSID if you go back to it)

From experience I can say that sometimes it may take a little while before client devices actually notice the SSID change.

After a change of the main router's SSID it might be necessary to set up the extenders again.

By the way, what is the model name and version number of your router?
