Hi TP-LINK Support,

i want to ask about USB Sharing on my WDR4300. i have a portable hard drive 3.5" WD My Book 3TB, and i want to connect it into my wireless router so i can access it form the nnetwork. i have connected to the usb port and i scan it on the web interface, but i cannot see the drive in the TP LINK web interface, i try to rescan but still nothing. could you help mme with this problem?

I asked the TP-LINK about this question also. Here are the answer from TP-LINK support:

1. Routers with USB Ports provide less than 500mA power supply on the USB port. Please check your HDD Drive. It will not work correctly if your HDD Drive needs a power supply more than 500mA.

2. Currently, system files like FAT/FAT32/NTFS are supported by Routers with USB Port. It can support no more than 2TB for every partition of hard disk.

3. It can only be read when the hardware encryption of the hard disk is disabled.
