Model: RE650
Hardware Version: V7
Firmware Version: 1.0.4

Hi Team,

I set-up RE650 to use 5GHZ as primary network and both 5 and 2.4 are available for extended network. Extended networks are set to hide SSID. All works fine.

But then, my extender stops working when I set my main network router not to advertise SSID. As the main network is already setup and connected, not sure why it's expecting SSID to be advertised. Any advise?

@ RH2021 In your case, when configuring the network, it needs to be hidden, and you will see that in RE you have an option to enter the network manually, insert it and click next, finish all the configuration...I believe this should resolve, if not, return here.

@Andrsouzaaa Thanks for your reply. That's what I thought too. But I can't see the device working that way.

It's all connected now. So initial set-up is not an issue. But as soon as I stop advertising the SSID of the 5GHz main network, it stops working. I can see the 5GHz LED also going down. And it comes back when I enable SSID advertising back.

However hiding SSID of the extended network works fine.

Thanks!
