Model: Archer C6
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: Archer C6(US)_V3.20_210513

My archer c6us v3.20 is having constant ping spikes on 2.4G wifi and this makes gaming difficult.only 3 device is connected to the wireless network and no wired connection also. ping spikes is prominent when  some device is away from the wifi ( say -78 dbm) and this causes ping to spike in all the device....i have tried QOS and given priority to ping sensitive application running device , ENABLED AIRTIME FAIRNESS FEATURE but nothing reduced the ping spike. Anyone know any fix for this issue please help.. thanks.

Hello, are there any Onemesh range extenders connecting to the C6 network? If not, please try disabling Onemesh feature on the C6, then reboot the router and reconnect to the wireless network to confirm.

What if you connect one of the devices to the C6 with cable, will you still suffer from the ping spikes? BTW, how many pings do you get by referring to ping spikes? You can also follow this article to understand better whether the ping is high:

@Kevin_Z  one mesh is already disabled... currently there is no device connected via cable, i will post the feedback after checking wired connection. When ping spike occurs the game become unplayable ( game got stuck showing a wifi symbol).the ping spike become more prominent when a device is accessing wifi from long distance. By the way my tplink router is connected in router mode to an isp provided router+modem device, is that a problem?

Is that isp provided router+modem device acting as the DHCP gateway? If that is the case, I will suggest you configure the C6 in Access Point mode to avoid a double NAT issue, which may have an influence on the gaming. The following guide will tell you how to turn the C6 from Router mode to Access Point mode:

Meanwhile, we will also suggest you run a Wi-Fi analyzer on one of the wireless clients to review the wireless interference in the network, -78 dBm is not good, you need to move closer to the router, or you can try modifying the router wireless settings such as channel and channel width to see if any helps.
