Archer C64(EU) System time settings changes after every restart
Hi
Archer C64(EU) Ver: 1.0, firmware 1.5.8 Build 210609 Rel.60832n(4555)
Subject to the software bug is a System time parameter as Set Time with a value "Get from Managing Device"
Set Time parameter value "Get From Managing Device" is reverted to the default value "Get from Internet" after every reboot!
Condition when it occurs: WDS Bridging enabled (this hasn't been tested with any other setup options).

Thank you Kevin for the quick reply, I checked the post.
I'm sorry, I don't see it as a solution. At its best I can consider it as a workaround.
The post actually confirms the software bug is even worse than I thought.
Kevin you referred the engineers saying that it's a normal behaviour and not firmware nor hardware issue:
.".our engineers confirmed that this is because that setting of Manually is not saved in the router flash, so you will lose that kind of setting once the router is rebooted. This is normal, it is not a firmware or hardware issue.." How come?
There's no exception in the manual saying that the Time parameter values as "Get From Managing Device" and "Manual" are not stored to flash memory and reverted back to "Get from Internet" after every reboot!
If this is not a software bug, then such exception must be in the manual, but there isn't one. As I had a clear setup plan in my mind, then I checked the manual before I purchased the product (actually I always do that):

Please be so kind and talk to the engineers once more to address the software fault that requires fixing.
What is the normal time to deploy a new release?
I would kindly offer my help in case any help in testing is needed.

Hello @TLenat, thanks for getting back and I'd like to know what's the reason that you are using "Get From Managing Device" instead of choosing "Get from Internet"? This may make more sense if this option needs to be written into the router flash.

Hello @Kevin_Z, thank you for the question.
One reason is security of the device itself. Don't get me wrong as I'm not saying nor referring that the device has some security issues, but this is the most basic networking principle. If device itself has no reason to access internet and/or vice versa, then you simply do not leave the door open.
To keep the device time in sync with primary device it is best to get the time from the managing device.
Management reasons as if any change is required regarding the time, the this can be driven on main device only.
I discovered that the device is not able to get the time from internet. The routings allows me to ping any public time server from that device, but time is not updated and time out error is shown within the System Time block.
Nothing is written to the logs.
What so ever there's no issues for any wireless client to receive time updates from internet.

Hello @TLenat,
So I guess the main issue is the router failed to get the time correctly from the internet? If that is the case, we can try to figure it out first. Please try to manually assign a public DNS server to the router (under Advanced > Internet page), such as 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1, then check again if the router can get the time correctly.
