Deco P9 not assigning IP address
hi, I have 3 Deco P9 connected to my router (VDSL).
Settings in Deco are:
dynamic Ip, Vlan disabled, Iptv disabled, operating mode: wireless router.
network:
Router (1st floor) <--> mainDeco <--> Deco2 (1st floor, signal source: PLC and Wifi from mainDeco) <--> Deco3 (2nd floor, signal source: PLC and wifi from Deco2).
DHCP works in most cases, sometimes however different devices fail to obtain an IP address. Wifi is always available and all 3 decos have white LED. Last time I could see, that an invalid IP address 169.254.13.255 was assigned to my TV instead of 192.168...
When I apply static IP addresses it works, but this should not be the way to go for me.
I tried to reset all Decos several times, but no change.
Also disabling the DHCP on my router did not help.
It seems like TP Link DHCP on my Decos is not working correctly or what do you think?

Welcome to the community.
I would like to forward your case to the senior engineers later and please check whether you have got an email from me.
At the same time, please help me check the following information:
1. Did both Ethernet and wireless connections have the same issue randomly?
2. If they are mainly wireless devices, please try to turn off the "Fast Roaming" and "Beamforming" under Deco APP>More>Advanced, and disable "Mesh Technology" on these devices.
Thank you.
Best regards.

I did not use Ethernet much on the device, but when I tried there were no problems with this.
Fast Roaming is already off.
Beamforming and mesh off did not help.
What I could observe is, that the devices get a proper IP and get connected when I move them to another Deco (which might be nearer to the Router). Maybe the problem only persists with this Deco in 2nd floor?

Thank you very much for the update.
Would the disconnection repeat frequently?
And Could you please try to switch the location of Deco2 and 3 to see whether the disconnection follows the specific Deco or the same location?
Best regards.

Yes it happens frequently, when any device wants to connect with Deco 2nd floor.
Swapping the Decos did not help.
The IP address cannot be obtained via DHCP when device is near Deco on 2nd floor

@firefly11 Would there be another place to plug the Deco on the 2nd floor and the disconnect might be caused by the powerline interference nearby.
At the same time, I have sent you another firmware via private message and please try to install this firmware and check whether it could improve the stability.
Thank you.
Best regards.

@David-TP Thank you for the firmware, this really improved the connectivity in my case!
No problems during one week

Unfortunately same problems appeared again with this debug firmware. Both when trying to connect a random device via Deco P9 Ethernet port and also via Wifi.
Any idea?
