Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.5.7 Build 20210819 Rel. 43499

I currently have a 3 x Deco M5 running without issue in AP Mode. The main Deco is connected to an Archer C3200 router with wireless switched off and this in turn is connected to a Virginmedia Hub 3 running in modem mode. I was looking to remove the Archer C3200 and connect the main Deco 5 directly into the Virginmedia Hub 3 but if I change the Deco M5 from AP Mode to Router Mode will I loose the existing settings?

  @Big-Bert

Welcome to the community.

What settings you might refer to, the wireless SSID and password, or something else?

Basic wireless settings, like wireless name and password, would still be the same. And most of the clients will connect automatically after switching the mode.

Best regards.
