WLAN / LAN Geschwindigkeit Archer C50
Hallo zusammen,
Delikanli

Hello @Delikanli
If the model number you wrote is correct, please be aware that Archer C50's Ethernet WAN and LAN ports support a maximum of 100 Mbps, which means you cannot get a speed more than 100 Mbps due to the hardware limitations:

Since you are paying for 400Mbit/s internet, it's suggested to contact the reseller to replace or return the Archer C50 and purchase a gigabit router, such as Archer C6 or Archer C7.

@Kevin_Z - may I jump on that question as well?
I am wondering, why the C50 has a wifi specification of up to 867Mbit then?

I have the same problem: internet comes fast into the house and via LAN into each and every room (via a different router). I use several C50 as access points. all of them do not provide any more speed than 90Mbit via Wifi - although they should be able to to do more (same if I connect the laptop via cable, but I understand, cable connection is not supposed to be faster than 100Mbit...).
How do you set up the C50 correctly as access point to have higher wifi speed than 100Mbit?

Regarding the speed concern, I would suggest you check this FAQ:
Frequently asked questions about the internet speed on a TP-Link router (Q2/Q4/Q5/Q6/Q7)
Since the WAN/LAN ports on the Archer C50 are capped at 100Mbps, you will not get a higher speed than 100Mbps if you need to connect to the internet via the Ethernet port, as that is the bottleneck for the network.
If you got a higher speed than 100Mbps, it's suggested to get a router or access point with 1000Mbps WAN/LAN ports. If the main router provides a wireless connection, you may check if you can configure the WDS on the C50 to connect to the main router via wireless as follows, which will avoid using the Ethernet port and avoid the 100Mbps limit:
