ip address manually input
I'm connected with a wifi-network which is with Lan connected with the MR6400. The Tether app cant find the MR6400. With the web-browser I can connect to the MR6400. Can you make something to enter the ip-address manually ?

Hi, may I have your network topology? and do you mean there is another router or AP in between your smartphone and the MR6400?
Please also let us know the IP address of your phone and the MR6400 to see if they are still in the same subnet.

I'm connected with the wifi of a Fritzbox. The Fritzbox is connected by lan with the MR6400.
IP address MR6400: 192.168.178.1 IP address smartphone: 192.168.188.22
This is of course not the same subnet. BUT with a webbrowser on my phone I can connect with the MR6400 by entering the IP address. Tether can't find him. I don't blame Tether but Tether simply needs a possibility to enter the IP address manually. (For different reasons it is not a possibility to make everything in the same subnet.)

Hi, thank you very much for the reply.
For local management via Tether App, it could only detect the TP-Link product in the same subnet. If you would like to manage the MR6400 V5 when your phone is in different subnet, it is recommended to bind your MR6400 V5 to a TP-Link ID to use TP-Link cloud management via Tether App.
You could go to Tools->TP-Link ID on Tether App to bind it, after that, when you are in a different network, the Tether App will still be able to detect the MR6400 V5 via the same TP-Link ID.
