RE580D 5Ghz Connectivity Issues

Worked like a charm when I first deployed the extender, after a few minutes the 5Ghz detection stopped working.
Reset almost a dozen times and wouldn't work at all. Tried latest firmware from the support page to no avail, also upgraded to beta firmware provided in one of the support threads in the community, regarding the same issue, that claimed to solve the problem, no dice. 2.4Ghz still working as intended, no problem there.
Also added additional cooling because temps were higher than expected.
Connection to tplinkrepeater.net also stops working after a few minutes, internal IP doesn't connect either. Still responds to pings thought.
Would greatly appreciate any help.
