Can anyone advise how to connect the Deco M5 to an existing 4GEE router and get it to work.

If your 4GEE router has Ethernet port, connect Deco M5 to it with Ethernet cable and run through M5 configuration as described in Deco quick start/user manual. Your router must have Internet access when you do that.

If your 4GEE router comes without Ethernet port, you can't connect Deco M5 to it.
