Model: Deco M9 Plus
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.5.1 Build 20210126 Rel. 62679

topology:

Modem/router (in router mode) - main deco (also router mode yes)

1. floor main deco - 2. floor living room - 2. floor office

1. floor main deco - 0. floor basement

Crashes alot. We have many devices running on this network. Its almost like the workload is killing it, though i cant find evidence of this.

Network crashes, all devices are shut out. Trouble reconnecting. At one point Windows usually claims its connected but i cant reach GW.

We recently put up 2 new gaming computers. One is connected to 2. floor office mesh directly through ethernet. Whenever we try to play anything online, all devices are shut out like mentioned previously.

Heres some of the logs i read. For indexing purposes i will write out some of the error messages i see in plain text. These logs were extracted right after a crash.

The MAC address 1C-B3-C9-09-93-CF are an Apple TV currently not in use. This is in one of my bedrooms and should actually have about the same distance to both 2. floor living room and 2. floor office Does anyone understand why its complaining about it?

Just now i tried disabling fast roaming. Il give feedback later if this works out or not. In the meantime, any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Edit: couldnt post logs in plain text. Error said it contained illegal links or something like that

  @hot-brush

These logs are not very helpful.

"We have many devices running on this network." - How many, approximately?

Would be helpful if you could make screenshot of Deco app screen for Show List and Show Map and add them to your reply. That will help to understand Deco mesh topology and also if Satellite Decos have good WiFi backhaul link. Example of Show List screenshot:

Example of Show Map:

For basic troubleshooting purposes I would recommend to check Main Deco CPU and Memory utilization, example:

If either of them is high, switch Deco mesh to Access Point mode. How to set up Deco to work in Access Point mode

For devices that support randomized MAC address, I would recommend to turn that off for Deco SSID. These will be Apple devices, Android 9 and above, and Windows 11.

Finally, while firmware 1.5.1 is listed as the latest for M9 Plus V1, TP-Link released beta firmware 1.6. If you are willing to try it, it can be found here: Deco M9 Plus 1.6.0
