Model: Deco M4
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.5.5 Build 20220823 Rel. 41353

Hi, I've recently made a post (in Reddit) about upgrading my router to see if it improves my TP-Link Deco M4 performance. It seems that upgrading the router is pointless as it is better to get another Deco in between the Main Deco and the one located further.

I've gotten another M4 Deco to place in between them, but it seemed that the furthest Deco still connects to the Main Deco in the living room instead of the one in between. This makes that I still have less than half of the speed my subscription plan is (300 Mbps up/50 Mbps down)

Here's my Networking plan before:

Rough sketch of the Deco connectivity

Any ideas on what to do? any help is appreciated

  @stellaren

If all your Deco M4 are with hardware version V4, there is beta firmware which will let you configure how Deco should connect to each other:  https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/581554
