Hello:

Is it possible to enable Protected management Frames (802.11w) with the Deco X50?

If so, how would I do this?

thanks

  @hugomontablond   @Mac3

Hi, welcome to the community.

I happen to see another post:https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/600130. I wonder whether you ask about 802.11w for the same reason: try to block WiFi jamming?

So far, Deco does not support 802.11w. But the built-in HomeShield security system could enhance your network’s security in general. It offers security detection and notification features across your Wi-Fi network to protect against cyber threats and attacks.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

Yes - I'm worried about Deauth attacks.  The questions is: does HomeShield Pro protect you against these attacks?  YES or NO  (I'm not going to purchase the Pro version if all you can say is that it "might" help)

thanks

  @David-TP

I will clarify a little:

1) If you have Ddos Protection: Does this stop a Deauthentication attack?

2) Does Lot Security prevent this type of attack?

3) If HomeShield can't stop a Deauth attack - will it at least notify you via a Push Message that you are being attacked in real time? (via your LTE data etc)

thanks

If your device and your router supports wpa3 it is the best option to prevent the attack.

  @1TRUTH1GOD

thanks.  Unfortunately, the device that I need to work (wireless camera) doesn't work with WPA3.

I'm hoping that the HomeShield Software can offer the protection I need.
