Model: TL-PA8030P KIT
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 2.7.0.44-02_803113_200117_901

AV1300 Powerline adapter provides internet connection only to the first device connected, devices that are connected after don't have internet connection. To have a device to connect to the internet trough the powerline adapter I need to unplug all other devices and plug only one device and only then it has connection to the internet. tpPLC shows the connected devices too.

Things I tried:

- Factory reset both powerline adapters

- Set DHCP auto on all devices

- Connected different devices, 2 desktops 2 routers. Same begavior on all devices.

- Switching source powerline adapter with node powerline adapter

- Tried different ports on powerline adapters

- Tried different Ethernet cables

Been picking my brains for what might be the culprit. Can't figure it out. Starting to think that I might have got defective powerline adapters

@Evaldas_B The source powerline adapter is connected through Ethernet cable to 5g modem. Any subsequently connected devices would not get internet connection.

The issue was caused by the modem itself, not the powerline adapters. The modem was in IP passtrough mode and so only single device would get public ip address provided by the ISP and local addresses were not given to connected devices. After putting the modem in router mode all the devices would get a local ip address and would connect to the internet.

TLDR: Check if the modem connected to your powerline adapter is not in IP passtrough mode

Hi, may I know if the source powerline adapter is connected to a main router via Ethernet cable? and are you able to connect multiple devices to the main router directly?

If possible, please provide us with the whole network topology.

In addition, when you connect multiple client devices to the node powerline adapter, please check the IP address and default gateway on the first client device and another non-working client device for comparison. You could refer to the instruction here to find IP address etc. on client devices:

How to find IP address on your devices
