Deco M4 causing all iOS devices to lose connection when screen is off..
Deco M4 causing all iOS devices to lose connection when screen is off..
We bought and setup three M4 devices as a mesh network and although it all works fairly well, all of our iPads lose their WiFi connection as soon as the screen goes off . This does not happen when the Decos are replaced with out old Asus router but only with the Deco M4.
The main Deco is connected by Ethernet to a ZTE 4g router and when I connect the iPads directly to the ZTE, nothing disconnects at all so it's clearly something going on with the Deco M4.
I've factory reset all the Decos and reconfigured everything a few times but nothing helps.
Can anyone please help or suggest anything?

Hi, I have this feedback once before and so far it is unclear what might be the problem.
If possible, I hope you could send an email to support.forum@tp-link.com with the following details:
- What are the model number and OS of your Apple devices?
- Have you noticed the same issue on any non-Apple devices in the home network?
- Here are some suggestions for your reference. Please let me know if anyone works:
- Please temporarily disable "Low power mode" in the Battery settings
- Turn off "Mesh technology" on the Deco APP for all Apple devices.
- set up connection preference for Apple devices, such as 5ghz band to the main Deco M4:https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/3480/
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

Hi, Thanks for the feedback.
Here "I'm facing same issue with android ", were you trying to say Android devices lost connection as soon as the screen goes off or Android devices kept on disconnecting and connecting randomly even when the screen is active/unlocked?
"the screen goes off" would be an important trigger. So if the Android devices dropped out no matter whether the screen was on or off, your issue might be different.
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

@David-TP It's the second scenario where android kept on connecting /disconnecting even if screen is on/off. I tried multiple options for e.g switched to 2.5G band only but didn't worked.

Just an update. I tried all the suggestions listed but nothing worked.
Then, I created a guest network and logged into that and since I did that 14 hours ago, I've had no disconnects!
Not sure why this would make a difference.

Another update.
The guest network solution didn't work. Eventually the WiFi just started cutting out again. 😢
