Model: Deco M9 Plus   Deco M5
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.6

Hi, TP-Link Support,

I run Deco mesh with M9 Plus and M5 units, in Access Point mode. Deco Main Network broadcasts 5GHz only, Deco Guest Network broadcasts 2.4GHz only.

I have three TP-Link Kasa HS103 Smart Plugs. They can only use 2.4GHz. They are connected to Guest Network.

The problem: Deco app reports HS103 Smart Plugs connected to Main Network.

I have that setup for a long time and I can't be sure when this reporting issue started. It may have been recent after M9 Plus 1.6 firmware update or like that for a while, I can't tell.

When I turn off Guest Network, all three Smart Plugs go offline. As they should. When I turn Guest Network back on, they come online but still reported under Main Network.

I also have an older Ecobee smart thermostat that also only uses 2.4GHz and is connected to Guest Network, too. For Ecobee, Deco app correctly reports it on Guest Network.

  @Alexandre. Hi, I see two days ago, Deco Android APP also released a new version 3.3.56, and tend to think it might be more APP related.

Could you please help me submit the APP log here?

How to submit Deco APP log

 By the way, since there are 3*HS103, did you have a similar issue on all three of them?

Thank you very much.

best regards.

  @David-TP

Submitted app logs according to instructions.

All three HS103 Smart Plugs are reported as connected to Main Network.

  @David-TP

I think I figured where the problem is.

When I configure (add) new Smart Plug in Kasa app, it is properly shown in Deco app under Guest network. Then, when I open Smart Devices section in Deco app and add Smart Plug there, now it is shown, incorrectly, under Main network.

This is reproducible every time I try with HS103 Smart Plug.
