All LTE Gateway Routers and MiFi devices
Issue Description/Phenomenon
After inserting a working SIM card and set up the LTE Gateway Router or MiFi device, internet light is on, but some devices have no internet access especially Android devices, Chromecast or some TVs. However, Windows devices and iPhones are working fine.
When you check Internet Status on the device web interface, you will see Internet IPv4 address is empty, but there is Internet IPv6 address, thus internet status shows connected. Such as the screenshot below:
Available Solution
Please check the current APN profile settings on Advanced->Network->Internet page for LTE Gateway Router or Advanced->Dial-up->Dial-up Settings page for MiFi devices. If it is using IPv4&IPv6, please create a new APN profile and set PDP Type as IPv4 only, other parameters can be still the same as previous profile.
Then please check if there will be Internet IPv4 address on the Status page and if the issue is resolved.
If the problem still exists, please insert the same SIM card into another LTE device and use the same APN profile settings to see if all client devices work fine. If the issue only happens with TP-Link device, please share with us the following information for follow up:
