I am trying to access http://tplinkwifi.net / but it asks for a password unknown to me.

It's not a password I've chosen myself (I've tried to reset it too), and it's not the 8-digit password shown in the Tether app.

Where do I find the password?

Hi,

How did you manage to get into the router settings via the Tether app? (I mean, when you connected to the router via Tether for the first time)

The password for logging in via http://tplinkwifi.net should be the same password that you used to log in via Tether.

  @woozle

Thanks for sorting that out. I used the same password. And tried resetting it along the way. -Both times using a strong random password that MacOS suggested, and remembered for me.

I suspect now that the password somehow is too complex, so I'll try resetting again and using a simpler and shorter one.

(Resetting the password again, to a more simple one, seemed to work. Otherwise it may have been resetting the router to factory settings in the process.)
