Coincidentally I have this exact same issue/query - fairly surreal to find the exact question I needed answering has been asked already in the past 24 hours!

To add, mine is also:-

Model - TL-PA4010
Next to the serial number on the label it has - (UK)/1.2

On the TP-Link website there is a specific page for the UK version of the TL-PA4010 Version 1.2, but no specific firmware

Our only option is to download TL-PA4010 Versions 1, 2 or 3

I'm presuming its TL-PA4010 Version 1 we need, but dont want to brick the adapter

There is a download for the TP Link Utility app on this page, but no firmware listed

Hi,

Like you already mentioned in your post, the download page for the TL-PA4010 KIT V1 clearly states "For TL-PA4010 KIT(UK)1.0, TL-PA4010 KIT(UK)1.2".

So, if the label on the backside of your TL-PA4010 reads something like "Model: TL-PA4010" and "(UK)/1.2", then this would be the right firmware for you.

By the way. Go ahead and download the latest firmware version on that page you linked and uncompress the zip file. Then open the file "QCA7420-WallAdapter-HomePlugAV_CE-ClassB.pib" in an Editor software of your choice. You will see various version strings in cleartext in there, for example "QCA7420-1.3.0.2134-00" and "tpver_401091_160311_906", which correspond to the version designation you've listed on top of this thread. This makes me believe that the firmware version presently on your TL-PA4010 is the same as the newest one available on the download page.

Thanks Woozle, I completedly missed that part...obviously not paying enough attention

I've successfully applied Firmware version TL-PA4010(UK)_V1_160316 now and all is working well
