Archer AX1500 (hw. AX12 v1.0) periodically drops WiFi connections in AP mode
I have purchased this router a few days ago. Updated the firmware to the latest version. Did a HW reset, reconfigured. I set it up to run in AP mode, as I already have an Internet router which does FW, NAT, Port Forwarding, etc... The GbEth port of hte internet router (LINKSYS WRT1200AC) is plugged into the WAN GbEthernet port of AX1500 operating in AP mode (I have already tried plugging it to the LAN port of AX1500, but the problem still remained.) The problem is that AX1500 randomly drops WiFi connections and clients (eg. SAMSUNG phones and tablets running latest version of Android, and other notebooks) are having difficulties reassociating. For example, Android devices report error when I try to force reconnection.
Any idea what might be wrong?

@Sunshine
Thanks for this. I have installed this in my routers and currently I can roam and my devices doesn't experience disconnection or unable to obtain an IP address. I will update if there will be problems or if it is not stable.

Finally it works now with the recomended new firmware: no DHCP issues, and WIFI roaming seems to work as well!
Tanks for the help!

it is great that the reply from TPLink was so fast.
it is also great that the beta version corrects this bug, now let's wait for the public release of the version, i hope it doesn't take long.

Bom dia!
Ainda não é a solução que procuro. Preciso ligar router 1 (controler) via cabo ao router 2 (agent) e usufruir da rede mesh. No aguardo. obrigado!

Boa noite!
Tks

Anybody know if the update has been released for the public or is it still in a beta stage?

@Tschabha @Sunshine just to let you know, after the beta firmware the drops in AP mode were fixed, but the 5GHz does not have the maximum performance, connected via cable to the AX12 in AP mode I can get the full 400Mbps from my ISP, but from the 5GHz wifi connection I reach half of the speed, like 200Mbps, 250Mbps, near to the router with any device, like laptops, iphone and so on.
Internet <- cable -> ISP device <- cable -> AX12-AP-Mode <-- 5GHz Wifi --> devices

Hi, thanks a lot for the feedback.
Could you please check the 5G link speed on the client device?
