Don't like the Poe injector, should TL-WA1200 work with Poe Splitter instead?

Model: TL-WA1201
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.10.32 Build 221020 Rel.61052n(4555)

I have an active Poe switch, which this AP does NOT power from.

I've realised that there is a big difference betw ACTIVE & PASSIVE Poe.

This WiFi AP does power successfully from the included passive Poe injector.

IF I want to power the AP from my Poe switch (instead of the injector), theoretically the AP should work if powered by a Poe Splitter, which would take the Poe signal fr the switch, split it back to data & DC power.

The TL-WA1201 is 12v.  So any 12v Poe Splitter should work.

Could someone reply if I'm completely wrong & misunderstanding something?

  @CryptoWizard

Yes, there are PoE splitters that can power the TL-WA1201 from a IEEE802.3 af/at 48V PoE switch.

It will power the TL-WA1201 with 12v/2A and connect to its gigabit ethernet port:

  @terziyski

Your included pics looks like the same splitter I found on Amazon which seems to have correct volts & amps for this AP.

I look forward to trying it.
