Model: Deco M9 Plus
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.6.1 Build 20230403

I have a Deco mesh network composed by:

  • 2x M9 Plus
  • 3x E4R

I have:

  • a few Tplink Tapo cameras c310 and c210.
  • and a few generic Chinese camera units

So far my network works fine.

I recently acquired a high end NVR CCTV device to record the streams from all my cameras.

The problem is:

Scenario 1.

When I add a single Tplink camera to NVR, my network starts dying.

Several unrelated devices starts disconnecting from the network.

The images on the CCTV starts lagging and dropping.

When I remove the Tplink camera, network goes back to normal.

Scenario 2.

When I add only the generic Chinese units, my network continues to work and I can see the image of the cameras flawlessly on the CCTV system.

With this we can conclude that my tplink Deco network is facing problems when I start continuously streaming a single tplink Camera to my CCTV system.

Important to highlight that other devices, unrelated to cameras, such as TVs, IOTs, and so on start disconnecting.

This is very frustating as I wouldn't expect this type of issue specially when cameras and network devices are from the same manufacturer.
