Firmware Version:

Just bought a TP link extender for my kids room and it's working fine, quite pleased with it actually. However it seems to have upset my existing Mesh network that's now running slow and dropping out. Do I need to do something with channels or bands to stop it presumably contending? When I switch the TP link off when they are at college the Mesh is fine.

Any tips very welcome.

@Ghinzani32 Does your mesh use tplink products? 860RE does not support mesh. Switching from the existing Mesh to RE may cause the problem you mentioned.

Hi @dulu , thank you for responding. My mesh network is an Mercusys Halo S12 AC1200, so part of the wider TP family. I think I'd be better off just buying another of those mesh cubes, I didn't clock they have a LAN port built in too. Might release some of the contention that's obviously happening.
