Archer AX73 / AX5400 - Slow Upload Speed
Hi,
I have the same problem of slow uploads via Wireless 5Ghz connection from different devices located less than one meter from the router without any obstacle or interference from nearby devices.

Internet Service: 600Mbs symmetrical fiber connection.
Firmware Version: 1.3.5 Build 20230919 rel.12938(4555)
Hardware Version: Archer AX73 v1.0
QoS: Disabled
Smart Connect: Disabled (same slowness enabled)
Airtime Fairness: Disabled (same slowness enabled)
Zero Wait DFS: Disabled (enabled same slowness)
USB: Disabled
VPN Server/Client: Disabled
IPv6: Disabled
WPS: Disabled
EasyMesh: Disabled
Smart Life Assistant: Disabled
Home Shield: Disabled
Operational Mode: Wireless Router Mode
Wireless 5Ghz Configuration (2Ghz disabled)
Security: WPA2-PSK [AES]
Transmit Power: High
Channel Width: 20/40/80/160MHz
Channel: Auto (tested all channels one by one with the same slowness result)
Guest Network: Disabled 2Ghz/5Ghz
All speed tests have been performed using the speedtest page by selecting my operator's server to ensure reliable results.
Analysis 1
Test with the ZTE F6640 router, offered for free by my internet provider with the fiber connection, using Wireless 5Ghz connection. In more than 10 consecutive tests, the router achieves upload and download speeds above 600Mbs. In some cases the upload speed is around 580Mbs, but always above 550Mbs (once the tests are finished I turn off the router).
Analysis 2
Test with the Archer AX73 router using a 1Gb Full Duplex ethernet port connection with category 7 cable. In more than 10 consecutive tests, the router achieves upload and download speeds above 600Mbs. The speeds never go below 600Mbs, being superior in all tests to the ZTE F6640 router (once the tests are finished I disconnect the cable).
Analysis 3
Test with the Archer AX73 router using Wireless 5Ghz connection disabling QoS, Smart Connect, Airtime Fairness and Zero Wait DFS. In more than 10 consecutive tests, the router achieves download speeds above 600Mbs, but in the upload it does not exceed 480Mbs. This test was repeated by selecting one by one the different Wireless 5Ghz channels (from 36 to 128DFS).
All of the above tests have been repeated from devices from different manufacturers and with different card models certified for Wifi 6. None of these devices present performance problems with the ZTE equipment or other wifi access points that I have been able to test.
I have reset the router and started all configurations from scratch and tried all configurations one by one, always with the same result. A worse quality router from my provider with the same conditions and distance to the devices has a clear better performance on Wireless 5Ghz uploads. I rule out problems with the internet or the AX73 router itself, since by cable it gets speeds above 600Mbs, no matter what configuration I have in the router.
I think there is a bug at the firmware level that causes the Wireless card integrated in this router not to operate normally. I think this is a serious bug considering the cost of this device.
Can you help me with this issue? Is there any workaround to solve this problem?
Thanks
